About Me

Hello! My name is Eloise and I am from Leura in the Blue Mountains. I am 17 years old and I love music (especially Kpop/Korean music), TV shows, CrossFit, field hockey and basketball. In 2019 I will be going on exchange to Sapporo, Japan and there I will hopefully have the best year of my life. I have been learning Japanese for 4 years and know most basics but have not often talked with native speakers which I am looking forward to. I love traveling and have been on multiple school trips overseas but only for short periods of time. Spending 12 months in a different country, with a different culture and language seems very daunting and scary at first, however, optimism is my focus and I’m so excited to call the amazing country of Japan my home for the next year. I’m really excited to meet new people, become fluent in another language and be immersed in a different culture. I can’t wait to have friends from other countries and hopefully create friendships that are lifelong.
